On 22th January 2005. the Born To Be "E" and "F" litter were born. Emily gave birth to a sable dog and a sable bitch, while Winny to a blue-merle bitch. Although we were waiting for more puppies the quality of these 3 compensate us. We kept the sable daughter of Emily, Maya with who we hope to have a lot of joy.
On 11th March 2005. in the Garay János Grammar School in Szekszárd during it's open-day the Born To Be collies got a possibility to attract the students. I showed to the students the basics of dog training and they were able to learn a little bit more of the dogs and sports connecting to them (agility, dog-dancing) and I tried to introduce them the intelligence of dogs with some interesting tricks.
On the 7th of March Brooklyn gave birth to a sable puppy sired
by Teddy. It is the Born To Be "G" litter. Thank you, Black & White Dream border collie kennel (owner: Bánczi László) for all your help in raising this puppy.

During the days of the camp the dogs got chance to try making agility (at the end they could match their knowledge at a home competition), met some sheeps, and wich showed enough instincts could drive them with the control of trainers. The participants also took part in learning dog-dancing and ringdress-lessons beside dog-swimming. The atmosphere of the evenings were raised by the common cooking. Regarding the great success next year we will repeat it!

2003.

January 1th – Zorro’s first litter in Hungary was born in the Most Majestic kennel.
Mother: Most Majestic Rhythm of Love. From this litter Most Majestic Born To Be Vanilla have got to Peru to the von Tawnewberg kennel, with the intervention of our kennel.

In April we had a new member in our kennel, this time a sable bitch: Silver Dream Quelques Fleurs „Fleur” (Int.Ch. Video Star of Slatestone × Silver Dream Kim Basinger).

In May I had a very pleasant experience, a journalist and a photographer from the weekly named ’Szekszárdi Vasárnap’ looked me up, and they made an interview with me. V. Horváth Mária wrote an article about me in the newspaper ’Népszabadság’, which was published on August 4th. I was very delighted with it.

In June two french dogs arrived in my kennel from Christine. My task was to take them to dog shows. The results of Panthere Noire des Marecages du Prince „Panthere” (the daughter of Zorro!): 2 × CAC, CACIB, 2×Res.CAC, 2×Res.CACIB. Samhaven Addicted to Love „Teddy” english import sable dog made interested many breeders. For me Teddy is a real gentleman (gentledog!), he has unbelievably kind nature, and an extraordinarily sweet expression. We had a great time with these 3 high quality dogs (Zorro, Panthere, Teddy), and it was very hard to say goodbye.
Fortunately they’ve left memories for me, namely, when they arrived, Winny and Chanel was in the season, too. Winny was mated with Teddy, and Chanel was mated with Zorro.
In August an other litter was born from Zorro, now in the Marrow kennel, from Wonderful Honey Gold Bess. Marrow Black Enigma (on the picture) has stayed in the kennel and we wish good luck with her!

August 21th was a mournful day in the Born To be kennel. 2 litters were born on this day, but things, unfortunately, became complicated. Winny’s litter from Teddy was born (litter „C” – 3 sable dogs), and Chanel gave birth to her puppies from Zorro on the same day (litter „D” – 3 tricolor dogs).
Chanel, my poor dear dog, was unable to bring forth her puppies alone, because 2 little dogs stuck in her whelping tunnel. A cesarion operation had to be performed. Only 3 puppy was alive from the total 8. It seemed that everything would be alright, but at night Chanel bled to death… It was the most painful thing in my life, the whole family mourn her… even today. She was a fantastic dog, everbody’s favourite, because she had a very cute character. Her dear mother, Winny, luckily accepted Chanel’s 3 dogs, but she lost 3 of her own, so she raised 6 puppies. It’s terrible to think of that such a dog like Chanel, who loved everybody, but especially little doggies, couldn’t enjoy even her own babies. Why must a 2-years old dog end like this? I can’t understand it even today…. Chanel has gone… Rest In Peace Our Darling!
In October we visited France because it was time to take the 3 french dogs home. The farewell was painful, they’ve got very close to our hearts. I can’t wait until I can see them again! But I didn’t return home with empty hands! I have the bitch of my dreams in my kennel: ORANGE AMERE DES MARECAGES DU PRINCE „EMILY”. I have kept my eyes on Emily for a long time, and she was always my favourite. Now she is mine, and this fills my heart not only with happiness, but pride. The direction of my kennel for the future is Emily! We’re planning superb litters with her.
2003. December - from the closing club dinner of the season we could come home with beautiful cups. The Born To Be kennel became CLUB-STAR KENNEL and our foundation bitch, Winny deserved the flattering title CLUB-STAR BROOD BITCH by the reason of her offsprings success at the shows.
On 6th December I took part of the first dog-dancing seminar in Hungary, where Attila Szkukalek introduced this new sport for dog lovers. I started to train Winny the tricks, and I would like to also take part in dog-dancing competitions!
The most important show results in this year:
Amy – Jugoslavian Junior Champion, 2 × CAC (Hungary), 3 × CAC (Jugoslavia), 2 × CAC (Croatia), 2 × Res.CACIB, Club Star 2003.
Chanel – 3 × CAC, BOB, BOG III. (Jugoslavia)
Niel (Born To Be All Time Favourite) – 3 × CAC, CACIB, resCACIB (Austria), CAC (Hungary), CACIB (Croatia), Club Star 2003.
Toby (Born To Be Alias My Mentor) – 4 × CAC, CACIB, BOB, BOG III. (Jugoslavia), CAC, BOB (Hungary), Jugoslavian CHAMPION, Club Star 2003.
Brooklyn – 2 × PRM (Jugoslavia)

2002.

In March I’ve been in England as a guest of Peter & Miriam Marsh. They took me to the British Collie Club Show, and to the famous CRUFTS, which is the biggest show in every year. This experience was simply unbelievable! We’ve visited some famous english kennels like Brilyn, Lynaire, Lingwell, which pleased me very much.

In May, a new puppy joined my kennel: Silver Dream Blue Norma Jean „Amy” (IntCh Manico’s Wind and Fire × Silver Dream Virginia’s Blue), the blue-merle bitch, who I’ve got from Papp Judit. Amy pleases us with her fantastic dog show results.

In summer I’ve spent 1,5 month at Mrs Christine Bisconte (kennel Les Marecages du Prince), at the No.1 collie kennel of France. Christine has incredibly beautiful dogs, and she breeds very smart. It’s a very good thing to learn from such breeders and I’m very happy that an other dream of mine came true. The summer at Christine remains unforgettable for me. I’ve became addicted to France, and, in addition to this, the beauty of her collies’ is fascinating. Several litters were born during my stay there, and I trained some of them. I taught several puppies to walk on the lead, and some of these dogs have already became successful at the shows. I’ve seen, heard, and experienced a lot of things, and I outlined for myself the picture of the perfect kennel, the one I’d like to have.
I can thank a lot to Christine, she always helps me. We’ve visited many kennels during my stay there, and I’m very happy that I could get in touch with so many kind men and women, I experienced magnificent hospitality everywhere. I’ve been in Beldones, Midland Valley, Clos des Duchesses, Cathyja, Cret du Loup, Chemin des Randonnees, Cabrennyset, Vallee de L’Aisne kennels and I visited several dog shows, too. I was so happy to got the opportunity to handle my favourite bitch, Emily (Orange Amere des Marecages du Prince) on the regional Club Show of France. I returned from France with a dog, and not with an ordinary one! IntCh Night and Day des Marecages du Prince „Zorro” arrived to my kennel, which was dream that came true.
October 13th – BORN TO BE litter „B” was born (4 tricolor dogs, 2 tricolor bitches). The father, of course, was Zorro, the mother was Winny. From this litter I’ve kept a beautiful little bitch, Brooklyn. For my great pleasure this year, at the Club Show very reputed judges (Peter Fricke, Brian Hawkins) said fantastic things about her, then in Dortmund, at the World Show (2003) Harald Steinmetz’s words made me feel proud of Brook.
The most important show results in this year:
Chanel – Croatian Junior Champion
Toby (Born To Be Alias My Mentor) – MKSZ Hungária Junior Champion
Winny – MKSZ Hungária Champion

2001.

April 9th – The first BORN TO BE litter was born (litter „A”). Winny gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies (1 sable dog, 2 tricolor dogs, 2 sable bithces, 2 tricolor bitches). The father was the IntCh, Clubwinner Silver Dream Final Countdown „Connor”.

During that, I’ve got in touch with Peter Marsh, the owner of the famous english collie kennel MIRPET. Pete teaches me to this day, he always tells his advice and his experiences. He breeded collies for 20 years. Pete was a judge at the Club Show in Hungary even then when Winny had her puppies. Pete visited me, he examined the puppies and told me that the litter is very high quality, the puppies would have born in England. I couldn’t have imagined more in that very moment! That was a dream which came true! From that litter I kept Chanel (Born To Be Alice Deejay), the wonderful tricolor bitch.

2000.

I knew more and more things about collies. Winny’s breeder, Papp Judit, helped me a lot. She gave me many valuable books on collies, foreign year-books, and she took me with herself to many dog shows, for which I can’t be thankful enough.
Then a process started, wherein there are no halt. After I got acquainted with all the hungarian collie kennels, and I knew all the dogs as well as their ancestors too, I got interested in foreign collies too. I contacted with many many foreign breeders, and I’ve made many pen-pals.

I’ve came to know to a less-known kind of the collie, the white collie. They interested me so much that I contacted with breeders who breed this color. Unfortunatley, the white collie is only accepted in the USA as a separate color-variant, so I turned to the American White Collie Club. I’ve joined this club, and I’m the only hungarian member of the International White Collie Club, which sends it’s special club-magazines on white collies four times a year.
The first litter would have born that year, but Winny remained empty. But I had already bought off my kennel’s name, BORN TO BE.

1999.

I completed the Hunnia Agility Club’s training-leader course with an exam. My the result was ’Excellent’. So, I’ve became official Agility Trainer. I had to defend this title next year. Fortunately, that exam was successful too, so I could keep trainings anytime.

1998.

February 5th – My third collie, with whom the breeding have began: Silver Dream Black Yucca „Winny” (Sanside Soul Brother × IntCh Silver Dream Blue Kiwi) – she is my foundation bitch. Everything started with her. I wanted to train her consciously, so we attended to a dog school, which we completed with an obedience exam. Then I wanted more and more, and at this point, the dog show-madness began. Winny won her first show, she earned the title of Best of Breed and became Best of Group II. which was a fantastic experience for me. After that, one show followed the other. Today Winny is MKSZ Hungária Champion, and she needs only one more victory and she earns the title of Croatian Champion. I’m very proud of her.

It was Winny too, with whom I visited several dog camps regularly in summer. This is a very good pastime, I’ve made many friends, and I had a good time in each camps. There we got acquainted with agility as a sport, to which Winny has a great talent, but, unfortunately, in Szekszárd there are no opportunities to make use of that.

1996.

My friendship with Jackie didn’t last forever. I suffered a terrible strike from fate again, when in 1996. december 31th the family had gone out for the New Year’s party. Jackie was so afraid of the fireworks that she fled from home. We’ve sought her for 4 months in vain. We’ve never heard of Jackie again. For me it was such a great tragedy that we didn’t have a dog for 1 year.

1995.

February 5th – My second collie: Mittler Adelina „Jackie”, a tricolor bitch (Silver Dream Black Ebony-Eyes × Löszhalmi Adrienn). I had got Jackie as a present for my birthday …all had began with her. Then I started to bounded up in dogs. I’ve collected millions of books about dogs, I learned all the breeds, and I’ve got interested in these wonderful beings deeper and deeper.

1990.

My first collie: Márványosi Gina. Unfortunately, she stayed with us only for a few years, but by her we get to like this dog breed, and we knew that we want COLLIE.
